That's how most of them go about it... But it's sometimes as simple as they don't care! I mean, fish die, all the time. So why bother with them in the end? My favorite pet-shop guy had three wonderful, absolutely huge fancies today! Two fat fantails and a moor, all four inches long and gorgeous He said they had been kept in a cube-shaped 150 liter (39 gallons) tank! It's not necessarily a small tank, but since it's cube shaped it definitely doesn't provide the needed swim room, and they were all roughly 4 years old In any case, he really knows what he's talking about and has kept fish since he was a kid, so it really shows

heh i like my career choice, except the needles part lol. i always feel bad when i have to take blood or give an injection since i hate needles so much myself skwishee: it is rather difficult, lots of bio and chem and diseases haha, but i'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. i love helping animals i wanna be like one of the techs in animal planet's "animal cops", i'm fascinated with emergency medicine and dealing with abuse cases. if i could i would have a whole farm full of everybody's unwanted pets haha, from dogs and cats to horses to sheep and cows and all kinds of stuff the college i go to is very hands on and we have a number of dogs and cats, rodents, and farm animals to work with. second semester of my freshman year we learned how to do (on dogs and cats) basic stuff like restrain, bathe, clean ears, trim nails, bandage, and give pills, as well as draw blood (from cephalic and saphenous veins in the legs, and the jugular ), give injections, give pre-anesthetics and anesthestics, intubate (endotracheal tube down the throat), apply catheters in the veins, apply urinary catheters, and monitor under anesthesia, as well as how to do basic health evaluations

Wow that sounds pretty amazing Lauren, I remember for a while I wanted to be a zoo-ologist, but I really suck at science so opted to do Illustration instead. Only now with my fish obsession getting worse (I've had a fascination with marine life for a while) I'd quite like to do Marine Biology! If only learning didn't cost so much! But oh my... that website has the cutest shubunkins!!! Sooo cute! [image] [image]
