15 died goldfish in 10 days

I have an outdoor pond of 25cubic meters. i keep about 10-15 kois, 20 goldfish, 5 ide fish(Leuciscus idus) and 7 tench(tinca tinca). the only big fish are the kois the rest are below 15 cm length. 2 weeks ago i bougth 2 new goldfish and 5 ide and i put with the others. after 2 days both GF died. After another 3 days other GF started to die. i put in my pond oxitetraciclyne-500g, next day Malachite green-1 liter and after other 3 days i drained 1/2 from my water, i fullfill with fresh water and i put 25 kg of salt. with all this i still lose my fish every days, so after 2 weeks i lost more tahn 15 fish. the big problem is that i lost ONLY GF and no koi, ide or tench. in the begining i lost the small fish and 4-5 days ago i found 2 big GF died(about 20-25 cm each). what kind of disease could be? i had my pond from august 2009 and i didnt lose anyfish until now.

Did you quarantine the new goldfish before releasing them to your pond?
Any new fish should be quarantined at least 2 weeks but some experts recommend a month!
And before adding new fish did you test your pond for the usual, ammonia, nitrite, nitrates and ph levels?
It's hard to say what they died from when your only symptoms are death.
I'm sorry you lost your fish,  but some of those medicines are rather harsh to use on fish that you don't even know what their symptoms are.  You need to determine what they are dying from before you start treating with any medications. Undecided

No, i didnt quarantined them... Sad. the problem is(was) i didnt lose any fish for almost 1 year. few minutes ago i read about GHV - goldfish herpes virus.... Cry. this virus atatck only goldfish not koi or other freshwater fish. i will try in the weekend to try to catch ther rest of GF and to put in otehr tank ant to warm the water at 85 F. this could be the single metode to not lose all GF. sometimes they can survive by auto-immunising. the tratment i have from a local fish breeder, which sold me my first fishes.

Those new fish probably were sick to begin with. Sad
Maybe where you got them from will give you new ones or some kind of refund.
I hope you are able to get your pond back in order soon and the fish you catch will be alright.
Glad to hear you are going to put the goldfish in a hospital tank. Smiley

And then remember to also use the hospital tank whenever buying new fish! And keep them in there for at least 3 weeks in a salt treatment while keeping a close eye at their behavior. Like this, you'll avoid lots of similar problems with disease or parasites Smiley
