Hi Everybody,

Suggestion to Moderator:
to create a board "Goldfish Anatomy" where all questions can be answered, to make this forum a unique source of information without hunting for info through the www all the time.

As eyes are my profession, I love to gather as much info as I can about the sight of a (Gold)fish and put it on here in my own words and also mention the source if necessary (for pics, for example)

Then of course there would be more themes to cover:

nervous system
blood circulation
muscles
digestive tract
respiratory system
senses (smell, hearing, tasting, sensing, etc)
fins
scales
skeletton
swimm bladder
reproductive system

Are you interested to take on  one of those topics and research?

I believe this would be great if we could create a BIG source of information on this forum

exactly, this is the idea of it. It will take work to built it up but I think it is worth it.
Whish I'd get more replies on ths one and who wants to research what.

The Health and Illness Board is good as it creates different topics to the problems people currently have with their fishies.

The Anatomy Board should be strongly structured according to those themes I mentioned in my first post where people can put their knowledge in

I'd love to see that board as well.  I'm afraid I don't know enough to help, though.

You're right Kat and Nicole, just thought regarding over 41 views there would be more replies,  and more people who welcome this

yeah, that seems to be very true, anyway I need to practice patience  and sure we'll get it up and running eventually. Just like to keep this post amongst the first 5 in this "general  goldfish discussion" 

As I mentioned before, as eyes are my profession I am very interested in knowing more about the sight of a goldfish ( Humps and Heps eyes amaze me so much ) and starting with this research I learned very interesting things, and also how many similarities there are between the human eye and the teleost eye... and of course differences  

Like, maybe the moderators all think that maybe they have anough already. Consider the following exchange between these next two people:

"You know what this map needs? It needs more sand"

"MORE SAND? We're surrounded by sand!"

"No.. just a little.. like two cubic tons"

"TWO CUBIC TONS??"

"wait... no like, you know.. just a little pile, over there.. like twocubictons"

"Do you have any idea how much two cubic tons is?"

"HAY GUYZ LOOK WHAT I FOUND" -random explosion-

As far as goldfish senses go, I'm wondering if they can see color.  I came out of the kitchen with a bowl of small, round, green food.  They got excited when they saw it and probably started thinking "Peas!  Oh boy!"  I had to tell them sorry, but I'm pretty sure you guys don't want wasabi peas.
