3 Oranda Fish

Great site and info. Have learned a lot in Gold Fish care. Here are a few pix of my fish, I;ve had for about a month.

They are adorable. I love the round little red and white one. Looks like he'll have a nice wen someday. What did you name them?

Small tank, 29 G. I think I am at the limit with the number of fish though I do have a 75 that I may set up if water  maintenance gets to be too much.  I am limited to what types of plants b/c the fish uproot stem/bunch plants.

Looks like you have some pebbles around, have you tried to arrange them around the plants so that the fish wouldn't get there when digging? That's working really well for me with bigger plants Smiley And I also grow anubias on drift wood, another useful method Smiley

I'll have to try the pebbles on the bunch plants again. I had to move them to a live bearer tank because they were constantly being uprooted by the goldfish. They haven't uprooted the Anubias yet. Their root systems are planted pretty deep and are spreading. Had two new leaves this month but they grow so slow. The bunch plants grow so much faster which I thought would help with water quality but the gold fish tugged on them. They haven't bothered the crypts or the Java ferns either.
