HELLO EVERYBODY, I AM SKIPPY
«
on:
July 04, 2010, 03:26:35 AM »
I want to introduce myself, my name is SKIPPY and I am home now with my mummy and daddy.
I couldn't wait for them to come today and picked me up. My mummy sure already told you that she, daddy and me already have fallen in LOVE about 1 week ago.
Now I am in that tank they restored, but I need to learn which plants I can eat and which ones are the plastic
ones. I also cannot wait to get my mates in, Humphrey and Hepsiba. I just want to re arrange the tank a little bit and prepare a warm WELCOME for them
....... and there is soooooooooooo much room for all of us to swim, swim, swim........
and I already had something to eat and a poo too

p.s He's a lovely looking fish, Hanna.

THANK YOU ANDREA, lol, thought I make a little story up, lol
Well the first pics are not the best, hope to get better ones soon. Yeah he's cute, we loved those little red dots too and he was the one who wiggled the most at us

Ooh <3 He's so adorable
He's a great addition to your tank
Only one missing now is a strongly red and black shubunkin
How's the cycling going?
I just put in the new filter into that ridiculous 10 gallon of mine, I thought it'd help the cycling process later if one filter would be cycled
They're happier than ever!
(still has moist and wrinkly hands from water changes...)

Hello, Skippy and welcome!
Skippy is a very pretty comet.
Don't be surprised if he loses his orange spots and turns silver!

THANK YOU ALL
Skippy is doing well, so is cycling thanks to cycle aids.
As Hump and Hep behave funny in the small tank we want to move them over today. I know it is not recommended but chosing from 2 "bad" things we chose the less bad one. It is too hard now to keep the waterquality in the 34 l

Mindemae, yes we know this might happen... but Skippy is fairly big now, about 10cm, like Hump and Hep, so what do you think: big chance that he will keep them.... I also feed sometimes color enhancing flakes....

Hanna,
The only reason I said that he might turn all silver is because a few of my fish have.
I feed color enhancing food too like 3-4 times a week but genetics took over and they still lost their orange pigmentation.

No worries Minde, if he does, he does, lol, we'll love them anyway
We just moved Hump and Hep, Skippy welcomed them so beautyfully, they seem to be a happy bunch and it was so amazing to watch how they socialized straight away
Well, now I really need to keep a very close eye on the water quality, as normaly one shoudn't add all fish more or less at once in a new tank.... as we discussed and advised many times before... but they've been to stressed in the 34l lately...

I think it'll be fine
Your fish are still not very big, so as long as you're alert about the water quality and do water changes whenever necessary, it'll be okay
Good luck, and keep us updated!

I wouldn't reccommend this to a beginner goldfish keeper, but Hanna you are an expert now! So you are surely able to handle and spikes in parameters.
I bet they all look stunning together!
