I know that's what I thought! I went to buy 2 very small tanks just for the snails! Well one for the apple snails I will be giving away to grow up in, so I didn't get them mixed up, and one for the bladder snails, but they didn't have any left so a got a 28L tank thought it would be to big to keep 1 bladder snail and 1 apple snail in. I thought iw oils need something else to liven the tank up. I was going to get a shrimp and a clam but I only wanted one or two and it specified that they need to be in a group and the tank the clams were in had a dead fish in it so thought best not risk it! That's when I noticed these little guys! Thought they were goregous and don't grow to big! Although when I get a bigger tank for Flash and Merle I can move them up to the tank they are in now!
I'm so excited can't wait to put them in their tank!

Very nice
However... I'm pretty sure one of those platies is a girl. The one in the top picture is pretty obviously not a dude
Compare their anal fins c:
Maybe you should take the plants out of those pots? They keep the roots from growing properly so the plants may not feel too good being in them...

Yeah they are very happy! Putting them in the new tank Tomorrow been letting it cycle put beneficial bacteria in and some fish food turned put there was a bladder snail in there, which makes three if it survives the night in my main tank. So gonna check the peramiters of the water tomorrow and if they are ok I will pop them in and keep an eye on the water quality everyday! Any spikes they will be back in the QT tank!

The difference on girl and boy is seen in the anal fins, pretty easy to gender in the end
If either one of them looks like this:
...it's a boy, the girls have very round and cute anal fins, whereas the males have this sort of pipe-like structure used when breeding
Girls may also grow larger in the end, when they're fully grown. There aren't many fish you can actually gender by looking at their bellies...

A few hundred at a time...
However, many of them simply won't survive, being eaten by their parents for example or getting sucked into the filter.
I have a few really cute babies for now, it seems the betta I kept them with before ate all the fry before, so now that he died there's a bunch of little cuties around
You can always bring them to the pet shop and get discount on food and aquarium supplies later

Yeah, no problem. You most likely won't notice until you have maybe 5 babies swimming about

Well I would keep some as when I get a bigger tank for Flash and Merle they will be upgraded to the one they are in now! Got my eye on a 230L at the moment on eBay as long as the price doesnt go too high! I just can't have 2 many my doesn't even know about these two yet, plus my apple snail is currently laying more eggs! Lol!
