Fish Book
« on: May 24, 2010, 08:38:30 AM »

First of all a big thank you to Nossie and Mindemae for the websites on goldfish. I have lots of info!
I have a question.
What is the difference between a Fantail and a Veiltail? They look very alike. I'm confused.   Huh

First of all: A fantail's body is usually more slender than that of a veiltail, veiltails can have bodies that are closer to the ryukin in terms of depth.
Secondly: The tail on a veiltail should not be forked, and all of its fins should be very long and flowing (: All fins but the dorsal (back) fin should be paired on a good specimen. (A fantail also has divided fins, but shorter, stiffer, and with forked tail)
