Maybe you should try and somehow attach it in the gravel and with some rocks? I think the problem here, is that you dried it in the oven before adding it  (But it of course depends on the wood too, some are really heavy, while others basically float all the time unless you anchor them down.) By the way, It would be better if you'd remove the "fluff" in the pot, it may foul the water, and I don't think it would be very healthy for your fish if they'd go nibbling it  This plant does look like a Dwarf Anubias, which grows out to the sides to create almost a little lawn, so it might also be a good idea to remove the pot completely to let it grow freely  But I know people who prefer keeping their plants in pots since it'll be easier to perform maintenance, so that's up to you to choose!
