Aww, Karas is beautiful!
So healthy looking! What beautiful fins your comet has!
Actually I started another post in the 'Fish Identification' Forum asking for help to identify the fish. So it is not a common goldfish, it is a comet. It doesn't change anything but at least I know what to say to guests.

Really lovely! And a very interesting name!
Thank you. BTW just returned from a pet shop with a few bunches of Java Fern. Today I'll add them to the tank but to my surprise I have learnt that it is desirable to attach the plant to a piece of rock or wood and it is not necessary to dig it into the gravel. So now I have to look for a few pieces of wood or root.

I have my Java Ferns in the gravel, but yes, they can grow really hard into rocks or wood! I've noticed that in my own tanks that it sometimes grew right into the pebbles around! Pretty funny actually
Bet your fishie will love his new forest!

So far I have just dug the plants into the gravel but as the plants have more smaller daughter roots on their leaves I will start putting them on rocks. As for the forest the fish tank became more beautiful and interesting but still needs a few more bushes. I'll add a few anubias as well later. As for my girlie-goldie she is swimming around the plants trying to figure out what is tasteful and what is not. :-)

I bought plants worth like 50€ already and I still feel like I need a few more bushes of something there! xD Though, they're growing really nicely, hoping that they'll spread out allover the back wall *sparkle*

Saw onion plant this sunday in our local pet shop. Not yet ready to start with them though. My next few bushes will be anubias as recommended. As I understand they grow smaller than java fern so I'll plant them in front of java ferns.

This is a banana plant, looks nice when those leaves grow and float on the water surface. Got one in the tropical tank too.

Flowers can actually grow on those leaves above the surface
And the banana plant is naturally occuring only partly submerged. Those roots are meant to store water in case of drought
It does thrive under water too, easily c:
But I want an onion plant NAUU!!!!
Max: Anubias can grow pretty huge, it depends which kind you choose! Barter's anubias tends to be a bit smaller
Or Dwarf Anubias.

With my still small tank I'll go with possibly dwarf anubias and keep them in front of java ferns. Banana plant both looks and sounds very interesting. I'll guess with all this interestingness I'll voluntarily get a widely spread MTS. :-) God bless me! :-D
