This is Mr. Peterman my 7 yr old Canary. He passed away last year - miss the little old boy but he has been immortalized as a viewer on youtube used this footage in a documentary on Canaries hence the over 200 thousand hits ♥

All those birds are adorable! And the kitty Smiley
Its hard when you lose them. I lost my budgie at the end of last year due to illness Sad
Is the cockatiel yours too? He is very talented! Smiley

Thank you Minde and Abbie Cheesy
Do you mean the other videos on that youtube account Abbie? If so yes that is Squeak - he is my oldest almost 15 the sweet old boy Wink He was only 10 in those vids though I just haven't had the chance to upload any newer ones. There are 5 Cockatiels in total.

I know, I have lost a few over the years. I think the worst is when you have to make the decision to have them euthanized as is what happened to the little guy in the birdie hut Cry He became paralyzed and could no longer perch or move. My Canary passed away gracefully in my hands looked straight up at the ceiling and with wings fully outstretched, quietly took his last breath and was gone - absolutely beautiful but sad. My life is richer though having shared it with them so I wouldn't change that for anything except I wish Paulie had passed on his own terms.

Yeah the other video that you uploaded Smiley

Yeah its sad either way but it is much nicer when they die a peaceful death on their own terms. My budgie Sherbet sadly developed a lump on his stomach and had difficulty breathing. We took him to the vets but they weren't 100% sure what it was and that in his condition it would be too risky to try and operate or anything. He was given antibiotics but sadly his condition worsened and he died the day after my birthday. I know it was probably a coincidence but it felt as though the little guy held on for one more day for me because he knew how much he meant to me <3
I'm so glad we found the lorikeet, I miss having a bird in the house - it's too quiet! Cheesy

Below is a photo of him in our christmas tree with one of his favourite toys Smiley

Aww what a sweet sweet boy Sherby is here. Love his colours. I don't doubt it for a moment that is why he held on the extra day - so touching and heartbreaking at the same time. R.I.P. little fella ♥ I wish you every success with your new found feathered friend. Tell him about Sherby I bet he'd love to hear about him Wink

Btw April how tame did your canary get? I have never had a canary and have heard that they do not like to sit on your finger or shoulder etc...is this true?
