This morning I had the pleasure of watching two of my young fantails spawning. It was by-the-book, nothing unusual and Hazel was not terribly aggressive. I observed for awhile and Ash (the female- very young and small) was doing fine. This evening she seems unwell. She is frighteningly thin- which I guess is to be expected she is also sleeping/resting a lot (not on the bottom), breathing very slowly and did not take the evening meal. One of my large fish (not sure which one) spawned a few days ago and none of the girls missed a beat so I'm a little worried about this little girl. Do I need to do anything for her? Is it safe for her to remain with the two males for the remainder of the summer? There are two other females in the tank so she is not receiving excessive attention.

Oh yeah- 55 gal tank, 5 fish, cycled, perfect water quality etc etc...
