Hi,
It's been 3 months since the Maracyn Two for fin rot, and 2 of my goldfish have regrown their fins beautifully, and my third goldfish still has short fins, with some black on the edges. I thought the black was a good sign that he's healing, but it seems like such a long time... He is very active and happy tho... do you guys think there is still something wrong, or is he just slower at growing fins? Thanks

Did his fins get more destroyed than the other fishes'? It could be that he's just a little bit sensitive, so he might be healing a bit slower in average water quality
As long as he's active, I wouldn't worry.

Oh good, I thought maybe you were going to tell me it was something else I had to treat for. He had developed the fin rot first so he had it the longest, and I probably should have medicated sooner than I did. Thanks!

That could be the problem, but usually black parts aren't signs of illness but rather something with the water, or as this case most likely is, a sign of healing
