I cleaned and rearranged the cichlid tank over the weekend.
This is what it looks like now. Only one of the three light panels are on in this photo. I have three led light panels and they set on timers so that the two on the end go off before the one in the center.

Maybe someday I will get out my real photography equipment and take some photos of it.

Wow, really beautiful... Smiley
I hope to have a cichlid tank some day, I was thinking about a 100 gallon with a few oscars maybe, if I'll get lucky Smiley
I just love big fish!

That's the biggest tank I have ever had. Before that it would have been 75 gallons.
I had a pair of veiltail red tiger oscars year ago. Beautiful fish! But you think goldfish are messy? Oscars make them look clean.

Trying your hand at saltwater might be an option too. There are some wonderful, big saltwater fish.
I had a panther grouper that was a great fish.

And who doesn't like lion fish?

Really lovely!!
Messy Oscars? I think I've heard that somewhere Wink I seem to have a thing for the messy pets.. xD (Goldfish instead of tropicals, Guinea pigs instead of Hamsters?) So how big did they get in the end? Smiley

I would indeed love to have a salt water tank... but where I live, the resources are very limited :/ At most there are a couple of Clown fish and Royal Grammas available around here.. barely any corals or shrimp too. Sadly, I'll have to stick to the freshwater tanks, but there are some pretty amazing fish available for freshwater setups too! Smiley

"So how big did they get in the end?" The Oscars?

They were probably about 10 inches long when I got rid of them.
I was working at a pet store at the time and had at least 9 tanks. Fish would come and go as customers would give me fish and I would find them new homes. I think I had them for about a year and a half.

It'll look good with that back glass.. you going to add any sort of colored background behind that or keep it white and elegant? Wink

I was kind of thinking about some anacgaris along the back and a moss ball.

very nice work Dragonii, thanks for sharing with us what must come from years of experience... and on the Oscar's, my brother's Oscar's used to like to arrange the tank themselves if you know what I mean...cheers

That's awesome! Cheesy ...but I think the goldfish would eat it. (Or the pleco, he's getting fat too and I have no idea why!)
