Today we welcome Rose and Ross to the tropical community, a lovely Guppy couple.

We may start to breed our own, as importing laws here may change next year due to iridovirus in ornamental fish coming from overseas... see what happens...

Photos will come soon, bought Brian a new camera today for his Birthday tomorrow, is on the charger now, lol.

There is big discussions going on in the fishkeepers world. As the iridovirus is highly contageous the laws wanna stop importing ornamental fish. If it passes it means that we will only have access to local ( Australian ) breeds.

Ode to the tank gods at my local fish store...grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot exchange...like a used power filter with torn box.
The courage to change the things I can...like the water in my tank so that my fish always has a 'clear' view of the crazy lady that feeds him. And the wisdom to know the difference... between when a tank has completed cycling or if it still is!

Hard to get pics of Ross and Rose, they are so quick in amongst the rest of the crowd, but I keep trying.... Cheesy

But a short description of the elegant couple: Rose is dressed in an elegant silver-grey robe but the tail is bright orange with black dots. Ross' suit is a silverish grey too and his tail has got a multi coloured cobra pattern. He is a Cobra Platy.

You know Hanna the description you just gave of 'the elegant couple' could well have been a designer giving a descriptive account of models on a runway LMAO!!! Once again, I am in need of new pantalons! I also got a vision of a fish dressed up like Hugh Hefner surrounded by a bunch of stunning girly fish with fluffy tail fins!
