Yo! Uploading a few pictures of the new setup (:
I filled it up half-way with water from the cycled tank and the rest with fresh water. My fish are crazy about the new and awesome stream d: They were constantly swimming in the middle of it. And they seem to appreciate the new gravel and the small plants I bought (: the filter is rated 170l/h so I think it'll be better than the one in the orb. The air stone is pretty big, about five inches long and partly buried in the gravel, as you can see
It's so great to see them this happy! Like a big weight has been lifted from my heart :'c

And let's not forget my new dude! Mr. Popo is his name, and he's currently spending some time in the orb with a salt bath (: I'll be getting some nice plants for him to play with as soon as the treatment is over
About Mr. Popo, I got him a bit cheaper than the average black moor price because he has only one anal fin and his tail is pretty deeply forked. But I love him anyway! And I'll be taking good care of him (: He's so small <3 Like 1.5 inch <3
Gonna make sure that he gets lots of blood worms~

A question: Would it be st*pid to give Popo another Moor as a tank mate while they're so small?

Only two more months before I'll have my 200 liter tank!! D8

Yep, I was thinking so (: I'd rather avoid having more nitrate problems there :C So for Popo I'll just get some nice plants (:
I'll be keeping an eye on the tank They didn't have any ammonia tests in the pet shop last time o__o but I'll be doing regular water changes and as soon as the time comes I'll be looking for nitrites at least.
About how often would be it be good to change there? Does it need more than once a week while cycling through the ammonia?

I've had my eyes on a rather big something standing on the floor in the pet shop. Huhuhu...

You want to keep an eye on your ammonia and nitrite levels and really not do many or big water changes unless the parameters spike and go high.  Then if you do a water change I would only do 10% while cycling.  Just be patient and let it do it's thing.  Add beneficial bacteria once a week whether you do a water change or not.

With their altered eyes they do not see well.  When you have him with your normal eyed fantails, you wil have to make sure he gets his share of food.  They are so cute but altering anything genetically always has it's consequences.

Hello happy goldfish!  Fantails, right?  Or moors?  That yellow one is the same color as my Sunshine.   I do like the orange one as well.

And just shortly about Mr. Popo's eye sight. He has a quite wide monocular field of visiont to the sides but hardly any  or very, very small binocular vision straight ahead. Oppsite to us humans. Our binocular field of vision is very wide.

                                          Binocular = what 2 eyes can see at once ( basically the area of 2 overlapping

Well, my moor was a bit longer than an inch, but not quite 1.5 ;> And that's how he is on the picture there!
Now he's actually turning blacker and more velvety all the time By now he SHOULD be about 2 inches
