black eyed fish

Is it normal for goldfish to have eyes that are completely black, no pupil or iris?  Is there a chance that he is blind?

It's normal, but it depends on his color. Most calico fish have at least one black eye, and they function perfectly Smiley Got two myself Wink
It's onlt the pigment going into the iris.

I think they can see fine!  I have a shubunkin like that, one blk eye!  He seems the first to spot the food so he must see alright! Cheesy
