She is a blue oranda and when I saw her I just couldn't resist bringing her home!

She is such a beautiful blue oranda! Her only fault is a bit of bronze on her back but her wen is developing nicely.

looking forward to more pictures.

I was shopping for fishfood yesterday, and did see some small Koi - a voice said "bye them, Bye them" but they grow to fast... lol Grin

Mindemae she is sooo cute, little sweetie Blueberry. I wouldn't say the little bronze is a fault, I thinks this makes he to be unique and a FASHIONABLE little lady. Blue and a golden Bronze is BEAUTIFUL!

I have never seen a Blue Oranda in person before and when I saw her I couldn't resist. The little voices were shouting "buy her!" LOL! Grin

Thanx guyz for all the nice comments welcoming Blueberry. She has stolen my heart to say the least.

I will post more pictures soon! She is still adjusting and I don't want to stress her out any more than I have to.
I drove 2 hours to get her yesterday and 2 hours back home. Poor fish but she seems ok, just a little scared and overwhelmed and wondering "what happened"? It must seem like something from the sky just picks them up and plops them somewhere else! Cheesy

She looks quite big, do you know how old she is? The Oranda's I generally see in the fish shop are tiny.

Blueberry is almost 4 inches....she seems a bit smaller than Thor and Bobbi were when I bought them but she is *sigh the same price. Undecided

Awww....Andrea what a nice thing to say about Blueberry having a "beauty spot" lol I didn't think of it that way.
Honestly it looks more like a saddle since it comes over her back. Maybe she will just turn all orange. Embarrassed

Well, she's an oranda, with a special color so I still understand the price Wink

And she'll be living for years and years with you

Anyhow, I was going to mention that I've seen pictures of some blue-chocolate telescope goldfish, and I think their color actually stays quite well

So... I think she'll stay blue and brown like she is now

She's got some more beauty spots I spotted, small ones on her head and on the base of her tail fin, like little bronzy flowers.

Well she has gotten alot less camera shy and zooms to the front of the tank when she sees me approach now.
