hey guys Smiley really hope you can help.

i recently brought a new large oranda to add to my tank (had 2  large orandas before now there are the 3 of them) my new oranda is slightly bigger than the other 2 but were getting on fine, swimming together, eating together, resting together etc.

over the last 2 days iv noticed that my orange oranda keeps nipping at both of my other orandas. this is new and hasnt done this before. just wondering is it because of the new fish? since my orange oranda has started this my one fish keeps hiding in a pot and the newer fish (to large to fit in the pot) keeps having to swim away. as i said, my orange oranda had never done this before with the other fish so im just wondering if its all started because of the new one?

any idea would be welcome. have read that it may be because he's male and may be coming up to breeding season but he has no white tubercles at all.

Heehee...see my post on Breeding Season.  It sounds like your Mister Fish is...in the mood.  As long as the spots are on his gills and fins, not his whole body, it might just be breeding tuburcles, as you said.  It seems they get a little more aggressive when that special time comes around.  And your girl, if she is a girl, may not be left out for long.   Keep an eye out for eggs- I know we are.
