Alright, so i bought two common goldfish, from the same petstore, and from the exact same tank AT the petstore. I know ich (or ick..) can appear on the fishes body, but my little golden fishy has white spots on her tail. and this is not normal, because they just appeared today. well i noticed them today. Im just wondering if this is ich or something else?

help plz! Ive never had a sick fish!

The white spot disease or ich is pretty common in store bought goldfish. I was at a local Petsmart store this past weekend to look at their goldfish collection. To my surprise, all of their goldfish, including the fancies, had these little white spots all over their bodies and fins. It was really sad to see these goldfish  in such poor condition. I'm pretty sure if anyone had purchased these fish, they would have had their hands full trying to keep them healthy. So before you buy any fish from a pet store, go look at everyone of their tank and see if you can spot  sick fish. If you see any sign of illness in these fish, avoid buying fish from that particular store.
