I cleaned my AQ 110 filter tube today and wow it sure had a lot of stuff in it. I thought it was ok to let it grow there since it's probably just algae, but from what I saw today, it will now be cleaned at least monthly. I have some new filter brushes that I hadn't used until today, and I'm going to buy the one that Dragonii posted the LINK (yea!) on so that I can clean around the corners.
Thanks for the idea on the water pressure, too.
I was wondering how to clean the Aqueon water changer hose, I have the 50' one. I hope my paper towel doesn't get stuck in the middle. Maybe I'll test it with something smaller first.

There's a lot of good ideas in this thread that I was missing, I thought I was keeping such a clean tank because I did my water changes... but oh my there's so much more. I'm so grateful to have this forum so I can improve.
I have an aquarium background that looks like marine plants and it's fairly dark in places, and I can see more stuff floating around in the water, because the stuff is light in color it shows up better with the dark background. Before I just had a white wall behind it. So now I can clean even better because I can see it more.
