Anyway, I know just how hard it is to pick fish! But I think that, if I was you, I'd get some tropicals actually Smiley You could keep a few more different species that way and have more fish! Then again, goldfish are somehow more cuddly and cute than tropicals Wink

I agree, goldfish are just sooooo cute and they really develop a personality and they come to "cuddle"

Well this is why we have one goldfish tank -never want to be without our goldies- but at the same time  Grin we've got another 140 l cycling for tropicals. ... and then there is the small tank with the betta and tetras and corys....

GOT THE FISH BUG Grin

So, popped back to pet shop today - had a good old mooch at the fish.  There's still a part of me wants goldfish, but I want more than 2 or 3 fish and I want some variety...so tropical it is!  Heater is in and I'll be getting the fish in the next few days!  Am I still allowed to use this forum if I don't have any goldfish?

no worries, there is a section for other fish on here, I will post there too in future, as we got 5 platies to start the tank off. we just introduced them an hour ago  Cheesy

Went to ge some tonight only to be told that they don't sell fish on Tuesdays!!  Gutted!!

Sorry, we don't give much of bad karma Tongue At most I took away a point when you refused to follow any advice you were given and had generally bad excuses for it. But believe me, that has nothing to do with me not liking you, because... well, I don't dislike pretty much anyone on this forum. They're all just names on a screen. (But there are of course a few I've spoken to more that I find very nice and therefore have a closer relation to.) So don't even bother complaining about this, alright? It doesn't matter in the end anyway.

3 of 4 new fish are dead.  Out of respect for Bill and Ted, is there someone who can lock this thread and I can post in my new Barbs thread?  It's in the 'Other species' section.
