Goldfish nasty behavior?

Hey,
Lately from time to time I have noticed my goldfish (comet) Fanta nudging and chasing the other goldfish in my tank.
The other goldfish aren't hurt and do not seem scared of Fanta, and most of the time they all swim happily together.
Fanta could be just playing...but it does seem like he is nudging them quite hard...and he is doing it more often.

He was doing it much worse then what he is in the video...but by the time I got my phone he wasn't doing it as much.
I will try and upload a better video if I can capture one.

Opinions?

Hi, this could be spawning behaviour.
Can you see the breeding stars on his gills, perhaps?

Ours do that too, sometimes it looks like a "ball" made of 3 fish, hahaha, they swim in circles, above and below each other so you don't know who's head belongs to who's tail  Grin

I got the impression that our Humphrey starts to develop those pimples on his gills and also some tiny ones on the his pectoral fins, on the first ray.

Hm not that I can see...
At what age do they usual start demonstrating spawning behavior? Because I have had him for about 10 months so his probably nearly one year old.
I think that it might be spawning behaviour though. Because he has gotten along with Nemo and Bubbles so well and has only started doing this recently.

Yes, this is about the time for them.
And those pimples are sometimes hard to see, especially if you want to look they don't stand still... Cheesy

On a closer look there could be some...But its hard to tell because he has white markings there Cheesy
And yes he wont stop wiggling about whenever I go near the tank!
Can fantails and comets spawn together?

I just love when they wiggle.... seems as if they like to give a kiss... haha

Well, I never thought about it, but according to how the different varieties of goldfish developed I'd say they can interbreed  Shocked

Any goldfish variety can interbreed with another.
Like an oranda for example will interbreed with a comet or common goldfish.
Even  tho they look far different, they are all from the same species and ALL goldfish came from the same drab olive green wild carp Carassius Auratus. Smiley
