Is it the comet goldfish from the picture?

It looks like the growths could be tumors. A tumor is an abnormal growth of body tissue. Tumors can be cancerous (malignant) or non-cancerous (benign).I'd just leave it alone and keep an eye on it.The other thing you can do is try to remove it. NOTE: This is very stressful on the fish. If you do choose to remove it try to get some potassium permanganate from a pet store or vet and add it to the water to prevent infection to the wound caused by cutting out the fishes tumor.

What kind of a goldfish is it? If it is a Hamanishiki, lionhead, ranchu, or oranda, it could just be its head growth which is quite natural. Also, how old is your fish? If you got it when it was rather young and now it's around one-3 years old, it's probably just growing its wen.
