Aww they seem to be doing well
So they have the 10 gallon tank to themselves now? At least I think it was 10 gallons?

Yes, they have the 10 to themselves now and no, they're not flashing, they're just that energetic, but for some reason the video quality seems jerky....mph. Bob's about 3 inches long and curly is about 5 inches long. I'm gonna replace the video with a better one in a bit, one that's not so bright from the sun.

New video is up.
It's still a bit wonky, it must be the embed cause it's fine on my youtube page. Changing the quality settings to "Auto" and making the video small instead of large seems to help bit.
They seem to be doing really well. The only thing I've noticed is Curly seems to get a little agressive with Bob during and after feeding. 10 minutes later though they go back to being chummy like nothing happened.

Wow curly's out grown Lucky! Haha she's still so small.
If his getting aggressive, it could just be because his the dominant fish? Being the bigger one of the two?

I read agression during feeding is usually a heirarchy thing. The bigger fish gets all the food and throws his weight around. But the same can be said for a smaller fish, sometimes they get a Napoleon complex and feel they have to act bigger than they are. XD Bob use to be that way when Larry was around. He's was a feisty little fish and tried to eat more than he could stomach. Curly does'nt hurt Bob, just chases him around the tank.

Bigger fish actually emit a growth-inhibiting hormone to make sure they remain the bigger fish

I believe that with water changes the hormone is removed?

I read somewhere that changing 50% twice a week is the ideal maintenance schedule if you want your goldfish to grow huge faster!
Sadly I couldn't possibly do that, so once a week will have to do for me... :'D At least until I'll get one of them water changer-thingies you hook up to the drain!

Is that the secret of my big Goldies then? Large water-changes are my cure-all.

Possibly, how often do you change the water?
