They ate smushed up flakes for the first time today!!
They ate the "crumbs" but totally ignored the big pieces.
Tonight for supper I am going to try the frozen daphnia!!
I'm so excited at the prospect of maybe moving them to a real aquarium.
I might move them January 1ST!  I'm thinking of just moving the bigger ones and leaving the smaller ones in the tub to still eat micro-foods until they are bigger.
Please let me know your thoughts on this!
Thank you again....all of you...for your support! Smiley
I really appreciate you viewing my babies as they grow and posting!!
It means alot to me! Wink

Omg you can very obviously see the different colourings now hehe.
There is quite a large difference in size between the smaller ones and the bigger ones...Or is that just the way the photo makes it look?
I think that it is a good idea to move the larger ones so then they have some more room to swim (not that they probably need much room because there so small!) But it would be nice Smiley
Also because you have to feed them different food it would probably make it easier for you having them in separate tanks xD

OH MY GOSH!! They really really really look like mini goldfish, I've never been so excited about them Cheesy They are so cute, you'll have to name them soon  Wink I think moving the bigger ones and leaving the smaller ones is a great idea, gives them a chance to catch up without competition from the bigger ones. Though the bigger ones may bloom in the prober tank, so it may cause a problem  Undecided Just thinking out loud, I think it will all be good.

I agree that it would be nice to move only the big ones first, otherwise, they will be taking most of the food from the smaller ones for even longer, making them stay pretty small as they grow Smiley

DAY 27

A funny thing happened when I fed the babies daphnia for the first time.
They started chowing it down like crazy and then they all stopped mid swim and spit all the daphnia out...LOL!
I swear their little faces showed a shocked expression Wink "What!?! where are the usual Baby brine shrimp? and what is this new stuff you are throwing in here now!"  I could almost here them say this.  Then one by one they decided to try one daphnia at a time and munched on it forever trying to decided if it was Yum or not! LOL Cheesy
Well I decided not to put them in the aquarium yet, after all tomorrow New years, January 1st is only 28 days!!
I do think a month means at least 30 days! Wink  I want to give them 2 days extra growth.
Here are pictures from today.

HAPPY NEW YEAR DAY 28

I'm trying new foods on the babies and they will eat crushed adult flakes.
I am feeding them adult food twice a day and the rest of the time their micro foods.
They are just starting to accept new food so I am thrilled to say the least.
Still rejecting any bigger pieces and like to eat the micro foods the best.
Altho, I've seen them start to pick at the bigger pieces that land on the bottom of the tub now.
I remove any uneaten food and waste before every feeding.
They are just so darn cute and friendly!!  I'm amazed how much they seem so glad to see me when I check on them every so often between feedings.  I know, I know I'm just the food machine but I like to think they like more than that LOL! Wink
Here are pictures for DAY 28! Smiley

Minde, they know you feed them, as goldfish got a fairly good memory. They also are able to develop special bonds. They are very social fish, so they also LOVE you. Cheesy

DAY 29

The babies are growing by leaps and bounds.
Now you can see clearly with my crappy camera (well probably my photo ability Wink ),
the babies little fins and some that have longer finned tails. Smiley
Here are some pretty good pictures reflecting this! Grin
The last picture shows the littliest guy next to a bigger one.

Water is murky after feeding brine shrimp!
Fed tetra Fin Flakes for goldfish and I crushed them up and they all did really well eating them!  This is the first time they ate adult flakes without leaving most of it sit on the bottom of the tub! Smiley

DAY 31

Ok, it is time for the 15 gallon tank but....I can't get nitrates to show up on the **** thing!
It's been cycling and cycling for almost a month and zero nitrates, zero ammonia, zero nitrites.
Wondering if I sahould chance that it is cycled?
Ugh...I do have a couple of plants in there, floating.  Maybe they are absorbing the nitrates?
Ok, here they are in the 15 gallon tank eating baby brine shrimp.
LOL! They are the size of neon tetras!
