here are some pictures of three different young comet goldfish i have been trying to identify.
I'm pretty sure that Hachi is a white comet, Rumpy is an orange comet, but I don't know if there is a special name for Star.
Picture 1: Hachi (white)
Picture 2: Star (orange/white), Rumpy (orange)
i'm sorry the pictures are a bit blurry but i tried my best
.

very nice fish ... I think you may be right with your description orange/white for star or is it white/orange
if I am wrong the helpfull folk here will know and correct me ... also please dont keep them in a bowl, comets need lots of space like the common goldfish... 3 comets would would need a
minimum
of 120 ltrs (30 gal)... and they can grow really big and easily live to be 20 years old or more! with the right care... all the best with your fishkeeping sparkly-puffball...

Thanks for the information Ron H.
I took those pictures a while ago, and the bowls were only temporary.
I find it harder to take pictures of them in a larger place because they keep going everywhere!

I looked it up, and you're right!
Star is a Sarasa comet goldfish.
I knew there was a certain name for orange/white goldfish (i kinda guessed there was, at least).

Ron: Your fantail is a sakura fantail
Them Japanese have different names for the red/white fish
The red goldfish is a common, note how compact the tail is compared to the other two
Oh, and just in case, I'd provide these fish with at least a 50 gallon tank, comets and commons are fast swimmers and need their space!

No, he can't. Sarasa is a color where the comet is white, but has orange (not usually red) back and other minor details, such as orangs lips or gill covers.
