her body alone is the size of a softball..and as you can see her fins are huge. she definitely has a butterfly tail.. she is probably 7 to 8 inches long... she's a big girl. lol

hahaha.. it sounds horrible but as soon as you said softball all i imagined was ur poor fish flying thru the air........

She's a big BIG fishy! Im so insanely jealous! Ive got a little fishy.. she was supposed to b bigger but she doesnt like the tank I brought home for her so she could grow...  Undecided

Now I'm pretty sure that's no pearlscale, after seeing the clearer photos C: So for the lulz, I'd agree with the Oranda people.
She's so big! o__o

But... you're not gonna get any plants for the tank? I just feel like that would make it look a bit cozier for your babies (:

i think that is a short  lemon head oranda.... and i think he/she has a problem, swim bladder is the reason thats way he/she cannot swim properly

Does look a bit like she has difficulties staying upright. But I think that could have something to do with her short back, that her nose would have to be straight up for her to keep the balance. Then again, she might just be enjoying her treasure search between the pebbles (:

Oh, you should see the big fantail mom has! He's rearranging the whole bottom to fit his taste... xD He digs deep holes so that the bottom of the tank is visible and collects the gravel in suitable piles wherever he wants them d:

thats not a lemon head but very similar. and yes there is a fish called a lemon head oranda. the wen is just lemon colour. i had one for years
