Thanks Nossie  Cheesy
Sadly, there would be one more goldie living with the two shubunkins, but he died recovering from an ich attack  Embarrassed
His name was Cool Mango (Mango). But the nice thing is that now the shubunkins have enough space in their 20 gallon instead of being slightly crowded Smiley

Why do Ranchus remind me of Bob Hoskins? Huh

thanks orandagal Smiley
i actually do have a small pleco in there with them - he lived with Mango for a long time and having Mango in the tank when Vari and Marble first came helped them all adjust to each other.

Being single tailed fish, I'm sure the shubunkins would appreciate an upgrade later down the line Wink
Especially as they'll grow pretty big and appreciate extra swimming space.

But lovely looking tanks.

Thanks Nossie - My best friend and I picked him out and named him together. The name was kind of an inside joke, but it fitted him Smiley
Skwishee - I'd LOVE to get a bigger tank for them - i don't know if it's going to happen, but that would be awesome Cheesy

You could always consider the cheaper options, such as plastic tubs for use as aquariums  Smiley
I recently saw a 110 litre/29 US gallons plastic tub for around 9.99.

Yeah, but in bigger sizes, a plastic tub isn't going to hold the water that well for long periods of time. At least not those being big enough to make a difference Tongue

Marble and Vari are goregous I love shubunkins. They do grow big fast though so just keep an eye on them. Sorry about Mango.

Noss, I thought a wooden frame could be built to support the plastic box from bowing?

It would be great if there was a cheaper alternative to tanks, so people don't feel stuck with small tanks and not enough money to buy an enormous tanks, you know? Maybe I'll ask around if there are alternatives.... There simply has to be something, somewhere  Cheesy

With large tanks being so expensive, it's one of the reasons why I'm trying to do a pond on a budget  Cheesy I'm hoping it'll work out cheaper  Grin

You always could Smiley

...I'm not sure about the wooden support-idea, it seems sort of unstable. How would you stick it to the box in a safe/accurate way without nailing them together? xD Or did you see that advice somewhere? Smiley

The idea in my head Noss, was to build around the plastic box, using lengths of timber (or something similar).
Like the image I've attached.

So the idea was that the box would be flush to the wooden structure, if that makes sense? It was an idea I had, if I ever need to get a 110 litre box to use as a quarantine tank Smiley
It works in my head, just not sure if it would work in real life yet! But it's something I might give a go later on  Smiley

I see! I wonder how stable that would be though... but for a 110 liter it would probably be just fine Smiley

As long as it was made of solid decent wood and built properly, I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work Cheesy

If I do give it a go one day, I'll be sure to let you guys know Grin
