Relationships between tank mates
« on: August 23, 2010, 06:30:44 PM »

I have two fantail goldfish. One all white (Pearl) and one orange and white(Patinka). Patinka loves to chase around Pearl but i noticed that as Patinka chases she nudges Pearl as they swim. Patinka doesn't seem to be harming Pearl but i'm kinda confused on whether thats normal or not. She like bumps her head into Pearls body but not in an aggressive way.

IMO, it's normal, my gf sometimes do that. especially if pearl is female and patinka is male.
Maybe they want to know each other.   Cheesy

This is very normal for goldfish, they love to play with each other. Ours do it almost all the time, gently bumping their nose into the others belly and swimming around each other. Sometimes it looks as if they are dancing  Cheesy
