Hi. I posted this on the comments section, too, and I hope I'm not posting too much, but I'm worried about my fishie, Spot. He's a shubunkin, and other wise quite healthy, good appetite, swimming around, etc. We incorrectly diagnosed him with a bacterial infection (which it turned out he had secondary to the parasite) and treated him for a week with antibiotics. We recently added Coppersafe to the water to kill the anchor worm. It's been about two days, and he still seems in good spirits, but the worm is still there. Yesterday the entry wound looked big and had what looked to be muscle protruding, and today the entrance wound looks smaller, but there is a huge lump under the skin right below where the worm is protruding that wasn't there before. Is this normal when treating fish? How long should I wait before I can expect Spot to get better? The box says the Coppersafe will stay in the water for a month, but to be honest, I'm worried about my fishie. Please help!
P.S. The water quality is fine as of our last test at the pet store a week ago, and the two other goldfish are well. Oh and sorry, no camera for pics.
