iNJURED goldfish

I was having trouble posting in health and illness, so I hope I'm doing this right... Today my daughter cleaned the tank of our 2 goldfish which we've had for at least 4 years, but now our one Telescope eyed gold fish is laying at the bottom of the tank, listless and seems to have one large swollen eye! I fear that she injured it while cleaning, has anyone ever heard of any thing like this, and if so what do I do?! Cry

Swollen eyes could be popeye disease or from being injured.  You can buy a medication called Melafix at the petstore. Just follow the instructions on the box for the proper dosage. It will cure many diseases and prevent the eye from becoming infected if it was accidently injured while cleaning the tank.

SHe might have injured her eye on tank decorations or something like that and it got inflamed or infected.
U should get a book on goldfish or ask the pet store!
