Adopted Goldfish

Hello Goldfish Friends,
Today I adopted 3 goldfish from a family that no longer wanted them.
They were living in a 10 gallon tank along with some tropical fish.
I was told these were koi but they are not! They are 2 common goldfish, 1 male and 1 female and a beautiful comet with flowing long fins, who is a male also. I believe I might have saved 3 lives today.
Right now they are under quarantine and in a couple of weeks I will release them to my pond with my other commons, comet and shubunkins.
Right now they are so scared but I took a couple of pictures. I'm sure they will warm up soon to food and treats!
For some reason I cannot upload the photos to this site. Keeps saying there is an error.

Yeah, I get that error message too. How I got around it was I posted on another site and just sent a link.
Poor fishies! I'm glad you rescued them. I bet they'll be happy and swimming up to the glass to say hi in no time!

HAPPY YOU RESCUED THREE FISHIES LIFE, Mindemae, they will feel like in heaven with you.
Yes and I got that error message too, when I wanted to upload a pic of humpsi when he
ripped his tail fin and broke his dorsal fin. But he's fine now, swimming arround Hepsis belly.

OOOOHHH Look how lovely they are, so nice... I am so happy you rescued them little souls.
You are a life saver Mindemae. They will be happy fishies with you looking after them.
... cannot understand how people just "do not want" them anymore......
We would never give up our Humpsi and Hepsi, they swam into our hearts the very first second ...

Hi Hanna,
Well all I can figure is that the people who had them got them when they were small and then added tropical fish to their tank and the goldfish grew too big for the 10 gallon tank and also some of their tropical fish would come up missing or dead. I know they had a coolie loach? and it died and some neon tetras came up missing. The tank was hard to keep clean with so many fish in it and so they decided they liked the tropicals more and wanted to get rid of their "koi" because they thought they would just keep growing bigger.
I named the beautiful flowing finned comet Nymph and the male red/white common King, and the Orange common female Shimmer. She has such shimmering scales! And King is the boss of the 3. He bosses everyone around. Ane the comet with his beautiful flowing fins is shy and so beautiful when he swims and expands his fins, I thought "He looks like a water Nymph".

Hi Mindemae
this are such lovely pics, Shimmer, King and Nymph look so happy.
Seems like those people you got them from, weren't informed about compatibilty of goldfish and other fish.
