cycle theory

hi some people will put a raw uncooked shrimp in thier tank to start the cycle as it decays it make ammonia and that starts the cycle right. then u take the shrimp out so there is no ammonia coming anymore. the ammonia makes nitrites that remove ammonia then when the nitrites peak it starts to make nitrates that get rid of the nitrites which are lethal to the fish right ok I know everywhere u read says don't clean the insides of your tank with a product that has ammonia in it right. but in THEORY (i have never done this or would tell people to do it right now.) if you put a product with ammonia into the tank with water in it. would that not start the cycle. instead of waiting for the shrimp to rot then having to take it out to start the nitrites to rise what does everyone think of my idea in theory
