Poor Wisp!
« on: April 21, 2011, 10:51:56 AM »

Sadly Wisp, the feeder, has passed away in a tragic accident. I was cleaning my outdoor tank and was keeping him in a very heavy bucket with my fantail Citrine. When I picked up the bucket it was too heavy and some water sloshed out the side. For a split-second I saw little Wisp hurling through the air. He landed in a pile of leaves! After digging for over 20 minutes for him I concluded that he was deceased. He will be sorely missed as a fun-loving friend.

Thank you both for your condolances! He was such a beauty of a fish too. I cried and cried when he passed away, knowing it was an accident but continuing to feel guilty for his death.

I went to the store to see if I could find a fish that looked somewhat like him (all white w/ blue eyes and golden splotches) but ended up coming out with a 2 inch long chocolate comet feeder (who I named Willow) and a teeny 1/4 inch sarasa feeder who was christened Whisper ll (after the first). I must post pictures; they are both exeptionally healthy for being in a tank with hundreds of other goldies. They are both living life to the max in my outdoor minipond.

Poor Wisp, really :C I would've been so panicked digging in the leaves!
Glad you found the two little ones though and gave them a great home in the pond!! Smiley
