gold fish at top of tank

My fish used to swim around the tank but now they spend most of their time at the top as if they were breathing air or eating bubbles. My tank is making some bubbles at the water serface. What should I do?

I suggest to check the water quality, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite.
Change about 20 % of the tank water regularly and watch your fish
closely for symptoms.
Looks like he is gasping for air, so not enough oxygen in the water.
Do you have real or fake plants?
Do you have an airstone?
Hope this helps

are there any differences in how your fish look? also, do as Hanna said and check your water parameters (pH, NH4+, NH3, NO2-, NO3, etc etc) and just make sure its all okay

How many fish do you have, how small tank, and how strong filter?
And by "My tank is making some bubbles at the water serface." do you mean that there's an airstone? d:
I would dare to guess that you probably have some trouble with your water quality, but first test the whole bunch. The same things that were mentioned before by Hanna and Katarine.
