Here is a pic of my new fantail. Sorry it's quality is poor. I don't have a good camera.

I watched the fantails for 10min before picking him. He was really stressed, skittish and sitting in 85 degree water. He was the weakest one in the tank but I bought him anyways. I've never bought a fish that didn't look healthy however, I felt sorry for him. Plus I really like his markings. Since bringing him home and putting him in the tank he has really changed. He's swimming freely and not hiding behind things like he was. And he has an appetite like his full grown tank mate.

Fingers crossed he keeps his colors the way they currently are.

If you can find some live foods at the pet shop in the meantime you're waiting for the pellets, that'd be great
You should get those in any case, blood worms, tubifex, brine shrimp, krill, gammarus etc
