my comet goldfish is changing colour? help?

I have an orange comet goldfish that is all orange but all of a sudden its top fin is now black.
Could this be sexual maturity?


I also have another comet that is all white that has gotten larger, possible pregnancy?

Have you done any water testing lately for especially ammonia?

Orange colored fish will not suddenly become black unless they have ammonia burns.  Black is not a stable color in most goldies except for calicos.
