Food? Help!
« on: June 15, 2010, 02:13:25 PM » |

Whenever I give my fish food, right after I leave so she can eat since she is so shy and she won't do anything when I'm there. After a while I come back and small bits and pieces are gone, but I'm not sure if she's eating them or if they are falling apart into tiny pieces that I can't see, or sinking down to the rocks at the bottom of her tank. I've never seen her eat and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice? Does she just not like her food?

Hey I have found that the best way to get the trust from the fish, is to spend as much time as possible near the tank, sitting / walking by - then the get use to you being around and dosnt treat you as a possible danger. When i feed, i keep my hands near the water - and after a while the eat out of my hand, at first they wont come near, but there is always one that is brave enough, and the rest will follow.
