I recently purchased 4 fancy goldfish.  Unfortunately, they are now sick with ich, & I've just begun treatment today.  One, however, is feeling better than the rest & is swimming around.  The other 3 are still hiding.  I'm surprised to see that the healthiest one is swimming to the other fish & nudging each of them to swim! What a caretaker! It seems an intelligent act.  Kind of fascinating to see.  Smiley

That is nice!  Sometimes they pick on each other, but your goldfish seems more social.

Goldies are great in that they each have their own little personality you will discover after a time. No two, no matter how similar physically, are ever the same personality-wise.  Cheesy

Do you know why they got ich? Did you have the fish for long? How big is your tank?

hey i have two goldfish. i have had the bigger one for a year now and i just barely got my new one. My big fish has always swam around but now they both have been at the bottom of the tank side by side  for a couple of days. They only seem to get up when it's time to eat or to move around. I don't now what's happening...Huh

Mini-cycle, you probably have too small tank and your fish are poisoning themselves. Do a 50% water change now, and if things won't improve, do another one in 4-5 days. How big is your tank?
