Okay so heres a little info on the new fishy Aqua. He was kinda bought on a whim, so hes not comming back with me to my apartment, hes my mom's fishy now, and she just loves him Smiley

Anyway, hes a nice blue colour, and hes got red pectoral fins. At first I thought they were bloody, but they arent. Smiley

I've always liked the blue bettas.  Bettas always look so sad at the pet store, so I'm glad yours got a good home.

I'm glad too, hes a sweetheart, but he, like Obi, feels he shouldnt have to eat! and im feeding him betta pellets!!! AUGH!

I just don't understand that.  My bettas, (and I have 3 now) all jump in the air before I even feed them their pellets.  When I drop a pellet in they leap at it and gobble it so quickly. Any pellets that are floating they circle like sharks and pounce on it! LOL!

I wish you could find Aqueon Betta food.  Mine LOVE it! Smiley

What are you keeping Aqua in?
It almost looks like an aquarium.
I have all my bettas in 1 gallon bowls right now.
I broke a bowl, a brandy sniffer and a vase.  Well the cat knocked down the vase!

But I think I might be satisfied once I get some guppies or something for my biorb c: But a betta would be nice... yes...

Lol, Nossie, hubby and me will have a betta too, after all is settled with the big tank. I mentioned in other posts: we think about a community tank (the AquaOne380) with a school of neon tetras, a betta and a couple of mini-catfish.... Grin

I think a Bio-orb would be perfect for a betta.
I wish I had one.  I'm gonna look for a used one I think for my betta. Smiley

There are those small ones that are about 4-5 gallons too Smiley With colorful tops ;>

I still feel like my 8 gallon is a tad big to put ONE fish in when I could keep guppies or some other small tropical fish there Smiley
I was thinking of platies or swordtails if I wouldn't have guppies Cheesy

Yeah, live bearers are fun but they have babies!!  Like rabbits!!!LOL! Grin
Then before long you have too many fish and not enough room and the nitrates go up and it's hard to keep the darn thing clean! Cheesy

Nossie, you can add a colourful bunch of tetras in your 8 gallon, and your betta wouldn't be allone.
I seen this community at our pet shop, it just looks FANTASTIC. Important thing to have dark graver or substrate and plenty of plants for them to hide, to give them as much back of their natural habitat as you can.

And they DID make babies like crazy! xD

We had a look at those neon tetras, they almost look like the cardinal tetras, but the neons are MUCH less expensive than the cardinals,  Wink
