does any one what kind of fish this is

We won him at a fair n I can't figure out what it is so I can take care of it propperly food, water temp/conditions etc.

Welcome to a get goldfish forum.

I believe it's a comet goldfish. I'm sure Skwishee will come by and tell you all about comet goldfish. You might want to read her thread about her fish lucky. That will help you a lot.

Looks like a very sad and stressed common goldfish.
This one will need a tank of at least 4 feet length, you can't keep it in that bowl if you want it to be happy and healthy. It already looks very stressed and will most likely get sick unless you find a nice tank for it asap. (It would be easier for you to give it away to someone who has a pond instead though.)

looks like a goldfish (common)
belongs in a pond; If you haven't got a pond then a 6 foot long tank is needed

The dorsal fin being down is an indication that the fish is not happy
Common Goldfish

Maximum Size: 30cms /one foot
Minimum Tank Volume: 180 litres
Minimum Tank Size: 4ft

General Information: The Common Goldfish is closely related to the Crucian Carp (Carassius carassius) and can live for 10+ years. They are quite messy fish and given correct conditions can grow very large, usually around 20cm/8inches in a tank although up to 30cm/12inches in a pond where they are best kept once they get to about 5 inches/13cm.
Tank Requirements: It is not true that they only grow to the size of their tank. They will more likely become stunted and not live as long when kept in small tanks.

Heya, welcome to the forums Grin

As it's already been mentioned that is a common goldfish and they require a lot of space.
I agree with the others, the fish does seem stressed due to the clamped fins.

As Scrivens has mentioned a pond or large tank (ideally 6ft x 3ft) is the best home for this little guy, now I can understand you're probably thinking, that's absurd, this fish is tiny! But fish grow Wink

A common goldfish can and will grow up to 1 foot in length! Goldfish are also extremely messy, so lots of space is better for this reason as well.
