Teaching a goldfish new tricks?

Hey all!

Saw this interesting article earlier today! About a kit you can buy, to teach your fish how to do tricks and things.

I've seen that thing before in a youtube video or something.  I think it looks kinda cool...like, a way to help your goldfish get some exercise and be creative.  The goldfish would probably have fun since its getting treats along the way and the system uses positive reinforcement. I probably wouldn't use it on my goldfish because I just enjoy watching them swim around happily, but it could be fun to some.

Nah, I wouldn't get that. It would probably be fun for some people, but you can just as easily make your own goldfish toys Smiley
And the tunnel is a bit too small, you'd have to make a few DIY tunnels anyway for the goldfish to get used to the idea of swimming through a dark passage like that Smiley

Will have to have look through it again, I have tried to get Lucky to swim through my hands in a hoop shape, but she just nibbles at me instead lol!
I suppose this is where a food wand thing would come in use!

I totally have this! I used it with a convict cichlid though and it worked really well actually, it was really fun  Grin
