Phew, this was hard and long work, poor fishies for 5 hours in the container.....they were so quiet, all together cuddling into each other arround the terracotta pot and under plants I put in too....
But it was worth it to give them a new tank with clear "windows" no scratches. And with the lighter gravel which reflects the light our Sunshine looks brighter too, bit more golden now than ashy, LOL
But have a look by yourselves...

Aww what beautiful babies you have and their new home is lovely!! I really like the light gravel and found when I put some in my tank, the light reflected differently. Are they all the same breed? They look so healthy and happy

THX Ladies,
yes, fishies are happy but they are not the same breed. We started off with Humphrey ( orange ) and Hepsiba ( orange and white ) somewhen in March.
Then about 3-4 months ago we got them the 2nd hand tank and a bit more company: Skippy ( white ) and from another shop Matilda ( shubunkin colour ) and Sunshine ( ash-gold )

The same breed would probably mean if they're the same variety of fish, I think d:
Anyway, it's an absolutely beautiful tank! Even better than the previous setup I'd say
Could you please post a few pictures of the tank itself a bit farther away from it? I'd love to see what it looks like

I was gonna ask the same thing as Nossie but she already said it for me, please post photos a bit further away. It looks great as usual, you know how I feel about your tanks
I really need to get myself some more plants, I only have the four and one of those four is pretty much destroyed. Your fishies are looking sooo good and big

All your fish are the same variety, but yes of course they are are all the same breed too. Variety refers to different body type and color. Breed refers to ALL goldfish came from the Crucian Carp or carassius auratus. The goldfish also belongs to the family of Cyprinidae. This family includes other types of fish such as koi, barbs, danios, rasboras, and American minnows! Many aquarium cyprinids are warm water species but the goldfish and Koi are coldwater fishes. I believe all your fish are comets. The shubunkin's name means color and he is a calico comet. I love calicos and don't even own one!
It's the same with our guinea pigs. They are all different colors and hair length, and different body type but they all came from the same wild guinea pig and like the goldfish through the years of selective breeding they have been altered genetically.

pappy-fish: POST PICS! I'd love to see a real veiltail!
But hey, don't confuse it with broadtails and fringetails
They've got pretty huge caudal fins as well, but they're usually slightly V-shaped

Here is a picture of my Telescope Veiltail or China doll. Picture was taken on June 15, 2010. She/he still the same size.
I named her/him
Baby Doll
P.S. This is not a clear picture.
I came across this website and it has a clear picture of a veiltail. The veiltail telescope in the picture looks exactly like my
Baby Doll
.

Hello, everybody, here are the requested full tank shots.
I also realized how much different our Sunshine's colour looks like after the light is reflected from the lighter gravel.
I agree, it looks better than the initial set up
lol

Also some details of the sliding glas lids which means such easy maintenance, no removing of the hood anymore
and the tree trunk to hide the ugly UG pipe.

I love that tri-colored fish of yours! Adorable
What was his/her name again? I only remember Hump, Hep, Matilda and Sunshine, and Sunshine being the iron-colored one
It's a very nice tank! I love that it's so full of colors somehow! Very nice

Looks great Hanna! Sunshine seems more golden every time I see him. I have the same colour in my quarantine tank and Clementine looks much darker, I hope I don't lose her in the new tank
I don't think will when she is compared to the pink wall haha.
Your fish almost seem like one, they are always grouped together

Lol, Andrea, THX, yes they almost are like a "fish ball". Sunshine develops to be a pretty girl, in the other tank with the dark gravel she almost looked like a shark, haha

Right! That was Matilda! Now I know c: I tend to remember only the fish that are spoken of more
And since you got a few at once there I got pretty confused with all the new fish and names!
I was btw, wondering if I shouldn't get something similar to that trunk you've got covering the UG pipe! But I was thinking more of something like cork wood
Which is pretty light and usually flat and slightly rounded in shape. Thought that would work nicely to try and cover up the internal filter! But I don't know yet... maybe it'd be a bad idea and somehow block the water flow into the filter? :-/ I'm using plants to cover them for now!
