You need to know, when all those people came to the pet shop to have a look at us... we've seen those two holding hands and talking to each other and looking at us. And we started to WIIIIGLE, WIGGGGLE, WIIIGGGGLE and yelled to them, Hey you MUUUUUUUUST be our mummy and daddy. TAKE US HOOOOOOOOOOOOOME, WE ARE SO SMALL, YOU'VE GOT ROOM FOR US... wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.... HOOOOME. We did the best dance we could and wiggled ourselves in their hearts....yeppieay...
Yep, and now we are here with Skippy, Humpsi and Hepsi and are a happy fishy family. They welcomed us so beautiful, like big brothers and big sister. So our family consists now of 2 boys ( Humphrey and Skippy ) and 3 girls ( Hepsiba, Matilda and Sunshine )

Hi everybody,
Brian and me we just COULDN'T resist... Sunshine really has got a lovely gold like the early sunrise sky in the mornings (depending how the light reflects) also sometimes she looks like a chimney sweeper, LOl, A LUCKY FISH
And our Matilda amazes us with her Shubunkin colours, her lower lip is black too, looks cute, especially when shes gulping her food down
... as we observed the tanks in all our local petshops and how the fishies behave, We are positive, that those ones we got home ARE happy and healthy...

Perfect mix of colors
Just one thing, I think Matilda is a tricolor comet!
See, a calico (like shubunkin) have a blue bottom, and kinda' transparent skin + red and black spots
It looks really awesome on them because their colors look so layered and cool under the skin or... arr, hard to explain d: It's like my Fläckis
They look so beautiful together!
I really like the smokey Sunshine
But... are you sure that it's alright with the ammonia levels to keep that many fish at once in the start? Or how were the last test results?

Hi Nossie,
Thank you so much, yes, it is a lovely combination. Fishies are happy as Larry, doing extra well.
Ammonia is 0.5 ppm but I was expecting this. At the same time I use Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate detoxyfier (by Seachem). But I expect now Ammonia to show up (even if it is put into a non toxic form, it'll show) , we'll do a partial waterchange today.
You know, I keep a very close eye on this

I know, I never expected any less from you
I know how much you love your fish, and I know that you'll care for them real well
(AWW! I just noticed how cute Matilda looks on the last pic!

I love how your Sunshine is a black comet, very cute and I've only ever seen a black comet once before. I really want one, I think it would be a lovely contrast againest my Sunshine and a compromise for me not getting my moor yet
Do you see them alot around you, Hanna? If so, feel like coming down for a holiday to Sydney and bringing a fish with you? Haha.
They all look great together and I love how every single one of them is quite different yet all comets
I must say i have never seen a tri-colour comet like Matilda either.

Thank you everybody so much
Thought Nicoles idea to have a parade of Sunshines is soo cute. So we DID name her Sunshine.
Yes Andrea, your Sunshine girl would be happy to have another fish as a partner. Now you can really have a look to be certain to get a boy for her. Maybe a Moonlight.
We got Matilda and Sunshine from PetStock Australia. They had quite a few shubunkin coloured comets, well all small, that's why we got 2 small ones towards Humpsi, Hepsi and Skippy.
Sunshine is not really black, she is a metalic golden, sometimes shimmering a smoky dark grey, depending of how the light hits her
As you can see on the 3rd pic she's really bright reflecting.

THANK YOU. ... we are proud fish-parents too, my hubby and me, LOL
...
They certainly do enjoy their new home, lol, my hubby observed them swimming through that vase, one after the other in circles for a couple of times. The leader was Skippy (white one) followed by Humphrey and Hepsiba (orange and orange/white) Sunshine (metallic) and Matilda (red, black, blue). I had to laugh imagining this "circus". They all stick together, more or less
