well, you know what I believe it is in general to small for Bubba anyway. IMO...

But you could have the gravel nicely spread on the bottom. Would look nicer hiding the poop.

i think it would better but I will wate till the next cleaning time Because I do not want to make Bubba stressed

That plastic can/might release hardeners into the water.

The gravel covered cannot house the beneficial bacteria to keep the water quality right. Also the gravel slowly releases some calcium which can be good for the fishes bones.

But you still will need to do your regular w/c

Can't you just cut off a section of some garden hose to use as siphon? And to small for a plant? Hmm. I've seen some very small aquarium plants in my life so I don't understand this. The one you had in your goldfish bowl looked pretty small.

I agree with Andrea too.

Also: even in pet stores there is hose available to be cut off any length you need. Choose a smaller diameter though.

If it's so hard, I guess there's nothing to do about it, so you'll have to do it the way you figured out before with that net and whatnot. How about saying next time that "I simply won't listen to you, because what you ask me to do is completely impossible"?
I can't believe that it's so hard finding a piece of plastic tubing! Seriously! Ask for a small hose in the pet shop if you can't find it yourself or something! I'm not angry at you or anything, but this is simply too much.

Gotta agree with Nossie here. To small for a garden hose? Really? It doesn't look like it is and if it is well things don't look good for Bubba. But I honestly believe it isn't and you are just being stubborn!

What about a turkey baster like mumzilla mentioned? Here is a pic so you know what it is.

Well I have 3 bettas and I do a complete water change every week!
I do not use a hose as their containers are too small.
I saved the little cup that they came with.
I pour the water over a big bucket and catch the betta in the cup.
Then I dump the rest of the water in a stainer as I have colored glass rocks in it.
You only have a few bigger rocks so you could remove those before you pour the betta in the cup.
Then I rinse out the bettas bowl and refill it with the same temp water as was in the bowl.
Add my plant and stones.  Fill with water and add Betta Plus bowl conditioner to the water by Aqueon.
Lastly I pour the betta into his clean bowl, gently!
Netting a betta is too stressful everytime you clean the bowl.
