Haha really? Well its just a basic tank with a timber stand and glass lids. It came with no filter, lighting or anything. And the timber was raw so I had to stain it myself Tongue
Maybe these ones are made locally because they have the exact same tanks at other aquariums here in Newcastle for around the same price. I forget the brand though :S
But yeah they do have really expensive ones here at the Pet Barn too that are more stylish and come with a proper lid, filter, lighting etc...

Mines exactly like this but it doesn't have a timber lid because it cost $30 extra and my light wouldn't fit Smiley

I've decided to not get any fish until I know I can fully support them financially. Have seen some really cool cheap fish tanks on the QLDAForums.

What do you think about DIY filters? I'm thinking of maybe using one as a secondary filter, or using 3 or 4 of them as proper filters. Your opinions?

I'd say that DIY filters are mainly for tanks where simple filtration is needed, such as quarantine tanks, breeding- or fry tanks. So I'd rather advice you to buy a good and proper external canister filter and maybe combine it with an internal power filter, if you want a bigger tank. Something smaller will usually be fine with only the external filter. Since DIY filters will hardly have the power OR the capacity needed to handle the waste of goldfish.

Yep, check it on QLDAF, also internal power filters are not that expensive.
And according to DIY filters, ask the experienced members on QLDAF. I cannot see anything wrong with those ones providing you use the proper filter substrates. Wink

Well just to add my 2 cents!
I had my orandas in a 30 gallon tank but I now moved them to a 55 gallon tank because they got tooo big.
I think you will want to upgrade as orandas can grow really big!  Mine are the size of my hand now!! Smiley
