filmy bubbles at the top of tank...

Yesterday a line of bubbles appeared around the rim of my tank...it looks very similar to the bubblenests made by bettas and gouramis..
I have a 55 gallon with 4 goldfish- 2 fully grown orandas, 1 3in moor, and 1 3in oranda (who is currently in our hospital tank), 1 dojo loach, 3 mystery snails, 1 cory cat, 1 bristlenose pleco, and 1 clown pleco. We do a 33% water change weekly.

Any ideas? Huh

Goldfish often lay eggs on the leaves of plants. Maybe the bubbles are from your other fishes?

You aren't keeping the dojo loach, mystery snails, cory cat, bristlenose pleco, and clown pleco with the goldfish, are you? Those are tropical fish. They need a heater!

They are all housed together...
with a heater....cool enough for the goldfish...warm enough for the others...

You are overstocked in a 55g tank.  The 4 GF actually over stock it w/out all the snails, loachs, cats and plecos in there.  With that amoubnt of fish, you really need to do more than a 33% wc once a week! Shocked  Did you know that small snails, just by themselves, need 5g EACH and 10-15 as they grow?  What are your water parameters?  How much filtration do you have?
