Not healthy, but you can do it.
Try posting the same thing in that forum I linked you to earlier. (theexoticfish.com) They have lots of experience shipping both fish and plants.

well they are going to be shipped to north carolina ... 7 or 8 hours from here. And the woman I am sending them to has a 55 gallon set up for them. I'm doing overnight shipping. And with them being feeders ... They are some hardy little guys Smiley They'll do fine If I pack it right Smiley

I dont want to do it but they will have a nice big tank to play in and lots of room Smiley

I'm glad you found some nice person to take care of your fish for you! Smiley
Does she have any other fish already? Or experience at all with fish? Smiley

Yeah, 9 months is fine, she seems quite devoted if she's got a few tanks already! Smiley

2 litres of water, add fish (which haven't been fed for the last 3 days), 3 litres of oxygen (pet shop may have oxygen or a person with gas welding gear may fill your bag), twist bag and seal with 2 rubber bands, double bag, place in cardboard box lined with a quarter of an inch of news paper top, bottom and all 4 sides (to prevent penetration of courier parcel handlers hooks) tape up box, address, label "live fish" and send.  Note water temperature affects fish metabolism/oxygen consumption rate so cool down and/or use a white box if weather v hot. Also don't ship fish with a full belly or they could get burnt gills from xs unprocessed ammonia.  No weed in with fish as it could act like a barrier as they slosh around.  Fish are totally safe as the water is not compressible, oxygen level will be at maximum so they dont even have to pump their gills while in transit. Adjust water volume and oxygen to suit length of journey and number of fish holidaying. A couple of fish would last about 10 days before they will run out of oxygen and start gulping at the surface.

they'll be ok I think. Its a little warm but I'm packing them in with syrofoam and lots of newspaper plus they will be close to each other in the box which will help.

I am fasting them as much as I can but they scrounge for food ... Its not much that they are eating though since they eat it all as it enters the tank lol. I'll put some detoxifier in with them which should help.

All I know is that you want 1/3 water to 2/3 pure oxygen.
That's why I haven't bought a fish yet online...too scary!!! Cheesy
I'm afraid something would go wrong in transit.  I'd be camping out at the post office overnight! Grin
