please help,live in nj and goldfish at top of pond and dieing ?

i have had pond for many years never had problem before ,goldfish are staying at top of water not gasping for air swim fine,today i had 6 dead fish and some are several yrs old ,they dont have any signs of desease ? please help

I noticed you had found the info thread Smiley In this case, it's most likely a water quality problem, sometimes when pH crashes or the nitrates are high, the fish will go to the surface and sometimes hover.
You'd better test the water, and probably perform a larger water change depending on the results Smiley

Yes, please do what Nossie Suggested. We need numerical values for us to determine what teh problem is.

It could be a sudden spike, though If you've been keeping the pond for several years, I don't see what the problem could be, unless you changed something out of your routine
