How bout this little guy?

His coloring looks brighter black and white in person. He's tiny...about 1/2 inch. Body shaped almost like a koi...no barbels yet, he swims kindof like a koi too. I have never seen a goldfish with this coloring before. His underside is pure white, not yellow. Cant wait for him to grow a little so I can tell what he is!

This is a common goldfish, the coloring is pretty interesting though Smiley

I'm a bit worried as to why his fins are clamped this way... I doubt it's like this just on the particular photo since the other fish have their fins up. How big is the tank you keep him in, and how many fish do you have?

I noticed the clamped dorsal fin in the petstore too, so I watched him for quite a while. All his other fins looked fine, and he was swimming around normally After a couple of days, his dorsal fin was up and he was looking much perkier.
 He is in a 10g tank with 2-1in long commons and a 1-/selectin 
rubber lip pleco.
 Yes, I know the tank is too small, but its a temp tank running 2 quiet flow 10 pumps. Im doing 30% water changes twice a week, mainly because the tank is recently cycled, but also for the algae that hangs in the pump tubes and slows water flow going into the tank. Mr Lips is cute but not nearly the algae eater that my 2 common plecos are. He prefers  fruits and veggies, ESPECIALLY peas!
I feed algae wafers once a week.

What tank are you hoping to upgrade too? Smiley

I ask because commons, need much more space than fancy goldfish. I made a thread here with information I found about suitable housing for commons, which I came across whilst researching for my own common goldfish  Smiley I've linked it here for you. Good thing you're taking care of the water quality so well Smiley
But you do need a bigger tank for these fish... Wink A 30 (minimum) or even a 55 gallon would probably be nice Smiley Both are good sizes for virtually anything, and even though you take care of the water, the fish need space, particularly since they're both long-bodied fish Smiley

Tank(s) upgrade!
Ok, I rehomed the two commons with a friend, and moved my b&w common goldie to a 20g. with my 2 inch wakin.
In my 10g. I now have a 1/2 in wakin fry (see photo) a rubbernose pleco and a dwarf frog.
In my new 55 gal, I have my 2 common goldies and my 2 koi. (this is also temp, until our pond is finished this fall).
They all seem much happier!

Only downside is Im back to daily water testing, and my 55g is going thru a mini cycle. (not too extreme, as I transferred rocks, pump, filters and media from my now empty 20g tank.

My new baby wakin! He is so cute and SO TINY! This little one has a cloverleaf tail, unlike my other wakin who has a 3 lobed tail.

May I ask what pond size your building? It sounds exciting, must be a big one, as Koi needs massive amounts of space Cheesy
